December 1st – A change of heart

Saturday, January 11th, 2014

My last post was the very first layout from my December Daily album for 2013.  Well, once I got further into the project, I changed my mind on the first page.  Sometimes you just have to start over on a project.  😉  Here is the new December 1st page.  I narrowed down the photo selection to declutter the page and added more details.  I’m MUCH happier with it!

Products (what I remember): Pagemaps sketch, Webster Pages paper, CTMH washi tape, Martha Stewart bow and present

Speed Bump

Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013

A few fun photos of Tobin playing back when he crawled. He was driving his car all around and wouldn’t let the chairs get in his way.  This is another layout where I was excited to use some cute but busy paper I had been hoarding for years.

I worked on this layout in Austin with my buddy, Jennifer.  I was stumped on how to finish it off and pondering starting all over when she whipped together this adorable bus for me.  And the layout finished beautiful.  Thanks Jennifer!

Like Herding Cats

Tuesday, June 5th, 2012

Now that Tobin is in the next level at Gymboree, they have pretend play.  The most recent theme has been cats and so all the kiddos pretended they were cats.  Tobin really got into it (probably because we have cats) and I just had to document a few behaviors from the day.

The far left picture was the first face I got from Tobin when I asked him to smile.  Haha.

Products used:  Patterned papers:  Bella Blvd (paw print circles),  GCD Studios (red grid), jillibean soup (stripes);  Stickers:  Joann (cat), K&Company (paw, dish), Pebbles (yarn);  Punch:  Fiskars (paw prints);  Tools:  Cricut Meow cartridge;  Sketch:  Pagemaps

Tobin’s Choice Bottle

Sunday, May 27th, 2012

Tobin had been mesmerized by my water bottle all along.  It’s no surprise he learned to drink out of them (Camelbak bite valves) BEFORE learned to drink from a sippy cup.

Products used:  Patterned papers:  October Afternoon;  Stickers:  We R Memory Keepers;  Journaling block:  Little Yellow Bicycle;  Letters:  Authentique;  Tools:  Cricut Type Candy Font;  Sketche:  Sketches for Scrapbooking One Page Volume 2

Practice Makes Perfect

Thursday, May 24th, 2012

Tobin was inspired by some kids at Gymboree one day and when we got home he decided it was high time to master the staircase.  Climbing up was easy, but he spent 3 days perfecting his decent.  It took another 2 weeks after that to convince him he shouldn’t go head first down the first step.

Products used:  Patterned papers:  Stampin Up, Little Yellow Bicycle, SEI;  Journaling block:  Deja Views;  Letters:  American Crafts, sassafras;  Tools:  Cricut Create a Critter cartridge;  Sketch:  Sketches for Scrapbooking

Morning Snuggles

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

Oops!  My ‘G’ went crooked for this photo.  But I’m too lazy to take a new one.  😉

Morning snuggles with my Baby Bear.  He curled up with me while I was playing Words with Friends on the tablet.

Some Good Old-Fashioned Relaxing

Friday, May 11th, 2012

Warren’s first Father’s Day.  We had a very nice, relaxing day at home with a walk around the neighborhood.

I made this layout for the Nikki Sivils product challenge over on Sketch Support.  Go check it out!
