The Perfect Accent

Friday, July 10th, 2009

I’d forgotten to add this page to our wedding details album and finally got up the energy for another wedding layout! I kind of burned out a little on the color scheme. =P

I wanted to document that my super cute earrings were made by a sorority sister of mine. She was very sweet to put something together for me a little last minute. =)
Details: Green spotted paper is by Stampin Up (color – Certainly Celery). Paisley paper is by Making Memories. Clear border that says “adorable” is by My Mind’s Eye. “Accent” was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Connected feature).

Just Married

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Another wedding layout that I did last summer.  I decided to tweak the flowers on this recently… I couldn’t help it.  =P

Details: “Just Married” was cut using the Storybook cartridge.   Flowers are Prima and Making Memories.

You & Me Forever

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Here is another clip from our wedding album. I saw this wonderful technique where a scrapbooker printed a photo on ribbon. I just had to try it and figured I’d use a favorite wedding photo.
Details: I believe the pink patterned paper is by Basic Grey. Frame was cut using Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. “Forever” was cut using Storybook.
Printing Photo on Ribbon: (DISCLAIMER: may not be good for the printer)
1. Choose a photo and print in black and white on a regular 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
2. Cut ribbon into strips wide enough for photo and extra space on either side (can do vertically or horizontally. I used ribbon from the $1 bin at Michael’s. Just be sure the ribbon is of a cloth-like material so that the ink will dry.
3. Apply adhesive to back of ribbon (I used a Xyron sticker machine) and lay ribbon over photo such that the image will print appropriately on the ribbon.
4. Load paper with ribbon into printer and reprint the image. The image should print on the same location of the paper, but this time it’s covered in ribbon so the image will print on the ribbon.

Last Dance

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Just a peek at Warren and I’s wedding album. I’ve already finished it so I may not post all of the layouts here.

Details: Green argyle paper is from a Stampin’ Up paper set in Certainly Celery. Purple patterned paper is American Crafts. Light purple scalloped edge was made using the Threading Water Fiskars punch. White/purple flower accent and acrylic strip (with purple design) are by My Mind’s Eye. Flower outline was cut using the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge. Hearts on sticks and “Last Dance” were cut with Opposites Attract.
