Our Hidden Tree Fort

Thursday, May 21st, 2015

This layout was so hard for me! I was challenged by the March issue of CREATE to used chipboard.  I’m not a chipboard user. 😉 But I took my assignment VERY SERIOUSLY and thought long and hard about to do something a little different.  I decided to recreate the railing to our tree fort with chipboard to emphasize the photos. I actually used a needle and stitched rafia through the chipboard for dimension.  Read more about it in the magazine!

Walking through our neighborhood and watching the ducks that live in the fountains.  A favorite activity. This layout was part of the awesome CREATE magazine May 2014 issue.

I loved using this combination of blues.  It was fun to layer them in the foundation of my layout. And it was super easy to find photos to use with this color combination – it’s very versatile.

Ready for Adventure

Friday, February 21st, 2014

A flat tire just days before my due date with Calvin.  We packed a backpack for Tobin and told him we were going on an adventure to the tire store.  He was thrilled, especially to see the tow truck.

Products used: Scrapbook Generation sketch, American Crafts Thickers letters, We R Memory Keepers journaling block.
